Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili presented the new Head, Davit Vardiashvili, to the staff of the Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE).

The Minister congratulated the new General Director on his appointment and wished him success in his work.

Kvrivishvili also expressed gratitude to the former head of GSE, Vano Zardiashvili, for his service. Vano Zardiashvili resigned from his position based on his own application.

Davit Vardiashvili brings extensive experience in public service and state governance. At various times, he served as General Director of the Georgian Gas Transportation Company, Director of Financial Affairs at the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, and Member of the Management Board/Director at Georgian State Electrosystem. From 2022 to 2025, he was the First Deputy State Representative - Governor of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, and in 2016-2017, he served as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. Additionally, he worked within the Revenue Service structures for 14 years. Davit Vardiashvili holds a PhD in Technical Sciences, is an Academician of the Georgian Engineering Academy, and is the author of a scientific monograph and numerous technical-scientific papers.
