Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, met with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Georgia, Gareth Ward and the Head of Europe at the London Stock Exchange, Ayuna Nechaeva.
During the meeting, the parties discussed economic trends in Georgia and the wider region, the growing dynamics of capital market development in the country, including ongoing and planned reforms.
The meeting highly praised the increased activity of Georgian companies in the capital market in recent years, including on the London Stock Exchange. The impact of Georgia’s economic growth on the country’s investment attractiveness was emphasized, which is crucial for attracting international capital to specific sectors of the country.
During the discussion, the investment attractiveness of Georgia’s business sector was highlighted, driven by the country’s high economic growth, stable macroeconomic environment, effective reforms, business support programs and sound institutional development, particularly in the area of the capital market.
