Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili held farewell meeting with Zhou Qian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed in detail the wide range of bilateral economic relations between China and Georgia and emphasized the strategic partnership existing between the two countries, which provides a new momentum for deepening trade, economic, investment and tourism ties.

Within the framework of the meeting, the Ambassador of China invited Mariam Kvrivishvili to the upcoming World Artificial Intelligence Conference scheduled to take place in Shanghai. The Minister thanked the Ambassador for the invitation and stressed that innovation and digital transformation across various sectors of the economy remain among the top priorities of the Government of Georgia.

As part of the farewell meeting, the Minister thanked the Chinese Ambassador for his fruitful performance during his tenure and wished him success in his future endeavors. Mariam Kvrivishvili highlighted his significant role in deepening bilateral connections and facilitating the development of the strategic relationship between the nations.
