Mariam Kvrivishvili Met with Maritime Passport Founders and Directors Peter Phillips and Martin White

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the founders and directors of Maritime Passport, Peter Phillips and Martin White.

The main topic of the meeting was the digital transformation of Georgia’s maritime sector, the implementation of innovative technologies and the sharing of international experience in this direction.

It was noted that Georgia is interested in leveraging Maritime Passport’s experience and expertise to enhance digital capabilities within its maritime sector.

The meeting also focused on Georgia’s strategic location and the growing importance of the Middle Corridor.

Martin White also represented Stream Marine Group. As for Peter Phillips, he is a member of the British Royal Family. The meeting was held within the framework of the Georgia International Maritime Forum ongoing in Batumi.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze, Director of the Maritime Transport Agency Ivane Abashidze and Ambassador of Georgia to the United Kingdom and Permanent Representative of Georgia to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Ilia Darchiashvili also attended the meeting.
