Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Tamar Ioseliani met with Durmuş Ünüvar, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Türkiye. The meeting took place within the framework of the Georgia International Maritime Forum.

The parties discussed the existing strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye in the transport and logistics sectors. Particular emphasis was placed on the development of regional transport corridors, specifically the Middle Corridor.

The pilot project for electronic permits for road freight transport was positively evaluated.

From the Georgian side, the meeting was also attended by Lasha Abashidze, General Director of Georgian Railway and Merab Kajaia, Deputy Head of the Transport and Logistics Development Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
