Within the framework of the Georgia International Maritime Forum, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Tamar Ioseliani met with Yerlan Koishybayev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kazakhstan Railways, and Aibek Kapar, Acting General Director of KTZ Express.

The parties discussed existing relations and prospects for deepening future cooperation between the railways of Georgia and Kazakhstan. Positive dynamics between the two countries regarding the growth of cargo turnover along the Middle Corridor were highlighted.

The sides also discussed the progress of the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project as well as other ongoing and planned infrastructure projects in Georgia.

General Director of Georgian Railway Lasha Abashidze, Director of the Anaklia Sea Port Zurab Sichinava and Deputy Head of the Transport and Logistics Development Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Merab Kajaia also participated in the meeting
