Mariam Kvrivishvili Signed Memorandums to Deepen Cooperation Between Georgia and the Republic of Kazakhstan

Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) on cooperation in the fields of tourism and information technology. The documents were signed following the expanded-format negotiations between the members of the governments of the two countries.

The Memorandum of Understanding on cCooperation in the Field of Tourism aims to deepen bilateral collaboration, implement joint initiatives, and share tourism products and professional expertise. This, in turn, will help strengthen tourism potential and positively impact the growth of tourist flows between the two nations.

The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Information Technology envisages the development of the digital economy, public digital services, and digital learning between Georgia and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The document will also facilitate networking and the sharing of experience between Georgian and Kazakh startups and IT companies.

On behalf of Kazakhstan, Erbol Myrzabosynov, Minister of Tourism and Sports, and Jaslan Madiyev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry signed the documents.

As part of the official visit of the Georgian government delegation, led by the Prime Minister of Georgia, a strategic partnership agreement was signed between Georgia and the Republic of Kazakhstan. Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed the joint declaration, which officially upgrades relations between the two countries to the level of a strategic partnership.
