“The entry of Starbucks and Alshaya Group into Georgia is another clear demonstration of trust in our country and the Georgian economy. Specifically, in the economic development and performance that Georgia has achieved over the last 5 years,” – the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Irakli Nadareishvili, stated regarding the entry of the global brand Starbucks into Georgia, whose first branch opened today in the center of Tbilisi.

According to Irakli Nadareishvili, Starbucks is not an ordinary company since it is represented in 80 countries with approximately 40000 locations worldwide.

“This is a vote of confidence in the investment and business environment that the Government of Georgia ensures year after year. For the past 10 years, Georgia has consistently led the top international rankings that measure countries’ attractiveness for business and investments. Starbucks is not just any company; it is a global brand operating with around 40000 locations in 80 countries worldwide. Its entry into Georgia is, in itself, another message to the international business community, global brands, and investors that Georgia offers an attractive environment for investment and doing business,” – Nadareishvili noted.

The entry of Starbucks into Georgia was realized with the active involvement of the Enterprise Georgia agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Embassy of Georgia to Kuwait.

The brand was brought into Georgia by Alshaya Group, which holds the Starbucks franchise rights in the Eurasian and Middle Eastern markets.
