“Georgia serves as a natural bridge between energy-producing regions and consumer markets. Enhanced connectivity will strengthen energy security, create new economic opportunities and foster regional stability,” – Inga Pkhaladze, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, stated at a meeting with the Deputy Energy Ministers of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria and Türkiye, which was held in Türkiye.
The meeting, held within the framework of the Green Electricity Transmission and Trade (GETT) project, aimed to discuss and coordinate issues related to green electricity transmission and trade among the four partner countries. The parties discussed draft intergovernmental international agreements and the founding agreement for the joint venture implementing the project, as well as future plans.
