“In June, domestic exports was incresed by over 50%, reaching a record-high figure,” – Vakhtang Tsintsadze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, stated while highlighting the export trends observed over the past month.
Specifically, in June 2026, overall exports was increased by 20,4%, setting a record volume for June at 770,8 million USD. Domestic exports (exports excluding re-exports) surged by 50,5% compared to June of the previous year, reaching 469 million USD.
As Vakhtang Tsintsadze explained, this positive dynamic and record performance are fostered by the country’s attractive business environment, which serves as a crucial factor for both local and international companies operating in the Georgian market.
“This encourages both domestic and international companies to enter the Georgian market, as well as to launch or expand production across various sectors. Ultimately, this is reflected in exports, economic growth, employment, and other key macroeconomic indicators,” – the Deputy Minister noted.
As for the January-June period of this year, total exports was increased by 20,0%, reaching a record volume of 3876,3 million USD. Domestic exports surged by 62,6% during the same period, totaling 2391,8 million USD.
Increase was also recorded in the trade turnover for June, reaching a record volume of 2396,2 million USD, which is a 11,3% increase compared to the same period of the last year. In January-June 2026, the trade turnover was increased by 5,8%, achieving another record high amount of 12925,4 million USD.
“Our task and goal are to maintain high economic growth figures in the country. All of the above once again demonstrates that business activity is expanding, local production is growing, the volume of exported goods is increasing and, ultimately, this positively impacts the country’s overall development indicators,” – Vakhtang Tsintsadze summarized.
