According to preliminary estimates, economic growth reached 8,6% in June 2026, bringing the January-June indicator to 7,9%. These results clearly demonstrate that despite external shocks and geopolitical challenges, the country’s economy continues to grow at a rapid pace.
In June 2026, compared to the same period of the previous year, the turnover of VAT-registered enterprises increased by 14,0%. Additionally, a 13,7% increase was recorded in the number of newly registered businesses.
The economic growth in June was significantly driven by increased activity in sectors such as manufacturing, transportation and storage, construction, information and communication, healthcare, financial and insurance activities, as well as real estates.
The high economic performance in the first six months of 2026 was further supported by positive trends in foreign trade. During the reporting period, exports grew by 20,0%, reaching 3876,3 million USD. Particularly impressive growth was recorded in domestic exports (excluding re-exports), which surged by 62,6% to reach 2391,8 million USD.
