Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, met with the Secretary-General of the UN Tourism Organization, Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, who is on an official visit to Georgia.

During the meeting, attention was focused on the long-standing partnership between Georgia and the UN Tourism Organization, and the parties also discussed prospects for future cooperation.

In the meeting between Mariam Kvrivishvili and Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais, the impressive dynamics in Georgia’s tourism and economic sectors were emphasized. Attention was paid to joint projects that Georgia and the UN Tourism Organization could potentially initiate together. Emphasis was placed on connectivity, promoting professional education in tourism, and the strategic importance of aviation as one of the main driving forces behind the country’s economic development.

Alongside Mariam Kvrivishvili, Deputy Minister Irakli Nadareishvili and Head of the National Tourism Administration Maia Omiadze also attended the meeting with the Secretary-General of the UN Tourism Organization held at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
